Should I have paid for her?

So I went to church with this girl and she invited me to applebees with her friends afterward. We all just got appetizers and she got a 2$ dessert. I felt like I didn't have to pay because 1) she invited me 2) it was so cheap and 3) I just spent a good amount if money on dinner and a movie a few days ago. Well the day after I text her and say I want to hang out and she wanted to go roller skating. She texted me back saying I was a nice guy and she had fun, but she didn't want to hang out anymore. I asked her if I did anything and she said nope, sure just didn't feel like we had anything to talk about anymore. Do you think it was because I didn't pay, because everything was going great up to that point?
