Do you agree with laws requiring offenders to register with authorities after conviction/release from pris?

You make a good point with the law being overly broad. However, the offender registration is not that much different than letting felons out with only tracking devices. There doesn't seem to be a good workable solution to prison over-crowding that doesn't include letting the least violent offenders out. Registration does inhibit one's ability to reintegrate into society but so does being on parole & being a felon. It is meant to be a deterrent. If the punishment wasn't harsh, people would do as they pleased.
