Is the MTV Show "Skins" as controversial in the UK as it is here in the US?

I've never seen an episode but I've seen the trailers on MTV. Personally, I think America is overreacting as usual. It's no suprising for me. I was actually expecting America to react. I'm sure more than half of American teens are doing the same thing they do on the show. American censorship is yet again going overboard. When I was in high school, I knew a slew of people who have been drunk, done drugs, have , etc. I think now adays, parent don't want to accept what their teens now that they didn't know until they were in their late adulthood.
